About Wyndham

Located on Philadelphia鈥檚 historic Main Line, Wyndham was originally built in 1796 as a fieldstone farmhouse for Patience Morgan, a Quaker widow. Through the years, it was home to the Humphrey and Kennedy families before being acquired in 1893 by Theodore Ely, who named the house and added a spacious music room for his daughter Gertrude.

Since 蜜桃影像传媒 purchased Wyndham in 1926, the building has undergone expansion and restoration with the support of alumnae/i. The modern wing houses dining rooms and Alumnae Association offices. Wyndham has hosted many distinguished guests, including Katharine Hepburn 鈥28, U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O鈥機onnor, and Gloria Steinem.

鈥淥ne of the best-kept secrets in the area鈥 this charming gem makes its home in a centuries-old house that dates back to the late 1700s, and also features a picturesque B&B and catering services.鈥

Why Lead Paint Removal?

Lead paint was widely used before it was banned for consumer use in 1978 due to health concerns. Although undisturbed lead paint is not considered hazardous, testing confirmed its presence on Wyndham鈥檚 windows.

The College is taking proactive steps to ensure the long-term safety and preservation of this historic building.\
